Wayne K. Pearson, PE Principal Mr. Pearson holds a B.S. in
Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University . He has
worked with the pharmaceutical industry since 1968 and has
held a variety of positions in Process and Project Engineering,
Engineering Management, and Business Management during his
career. He has extensive experience with biopharmaceutical,
parenteral fill and finish, solid dosage, and chemical API
facilities.
Most recently, Mr. Pearson
has served as Manager of Automation for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals
on a $160 million Vaccine Development and Manufacturing facility.
Mr. Pearson was President and CEO of Engineered Technologies,
Inc before selling his interests and founding Castle Hill
Technologies, Inc., a Professional Engineering Services Company
doing business in Eastern US and Puerto Rico .
He is a licensed professional
engineer in 10 states and is an accomplished design professional
for chemical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation
aspects of pharmaceutical process plants.
Steven Johnson Manager of Carolina Operations
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering and a
minor in Asian Studies from the University of Virginia . He has spent the past
10 years of his career working in the pharmaceutical community supporting commissioning
and validation operations on a world wide basis.
Mr. Johnson is an engineering
professional well founded in the fundamentals of engineering
and he is an accomplished linguist with the ability to converse
in 6 languages. He is familiar with all types of equipment
and systems including utility generation systems, process
unit operation systems, and packaged pharmaceutical systems.
Steve is a hands-on engineer
with practical operating and commissioning experience as
well as design experience with these systems. He has worked
with Allan Bradley process controls, Anderson Controls, and
with Emerson Delta V controls and is skilled in the operation
of these control systems.
Steve has been with Castle
Hill Technologies since 2002 leading the Carolina Team. His
experience includes commissioning and validation activities
on Wyeth FSDF Vaccine facility where he is the principal
manger of the interface between the Operations personnel
and the Automation personnel. He has considerable experience
with non-batch and batch DCS Systems including Emerson Delta
V.
John Spohn Manager of Puerto Rico Operations Mr. Spohn holds a Bachelor
of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer
Polytechnic Institute. He has over 20 years experience in
process equipment and automation/controls disciplines for
the pharmaceutical and allied industries. He has served in
many roles during his career including Engineering Management,
Construction Management, and Automation Management positions.
Mr. Spohn’s diverse experience includes Engineering/Design,
Systems Integration, Commissioning Planning & Execution,
and Qualification support activities.
John and his family live in Puerto
Rico where he has been a key participant in establishing
and growing the local presence of CHT. He has served as the
Owner’s Chief Engineering
Representative on numerous highly successful projects managing
and leading the equipment and automation systems design, installation,
and validation activities. He is a Subject Matter Expert in
Parenteral System design and operation and has extensive experience
in Solid Dosage Facilities. He is thoroughly familiar with
batch S88 configuration and has planned and managed highly
successful projects implementing batch operations for vial
filling facilities.
Previous to his work in Puerto Rico , John was a principal
commissioning engineer for equipment and controls on a large
biopharmaceutical facility. He is familiar with the design
and operation of most unit operations and process systems in
this industry.
